"And if I've
luck, Sir
She's my Uxor
Hic, Hoc, Horum, Genitivo"
from Amo, Amas, I love a Lass
My life and my business have been dedicated to helping
mothers experience the natural joy and fulfillment
breastfeeding brings, and to giving children the purist and
most beneficial beginning to their lives.
I am, most importantly, the mother of six breast-fed children
- all of whom were gently birthed at home. I have over 17
years of continuous breastfeeding under my belt (bra?). For
fifteen years, I was an active La Leche League leader and was
certified by the International Board of Certified Lactation
Consultants in 1987. Also, I am a trained childbirth Doula and
I taught natural childbirth classes for 11 years. I have had a
retail business selling breastfeeding-related items since
1986. I am currently attending Utah College of
Midwifery.
I bought a crib before the birth of our first child, but I
could not stand having him in there. The crib became a
fabric holder in my sewing room as I learned the joy of
wearing a sling and sleeping with my baby. I found my
sling indispensable with later children, as I owned two large
children's clothing and breastfeeding shops and was able to
nurse "on the fly". All of our kids were home
schooled to some extent, and we try to provide an atmosphere
of learning and growth in our home. I have learned many
things through the years, trying different things - some good
and some not so good. I certainly "wish I knew then
what I know now". I am not claiming that I know
everything, but I know what has worked for my family and I
have a strong desire to share it with others.
I love to help moms birth, breast-feed and feel good! Please
enjoy my site.
